New Category Launched for Cupcake Championship

Stop the press! We have been so inundated with entries for this year's National Cupcake Week Championship we have decided to add another last minute category to the competition.
So the search is now on for the Classic Cupcake!
This can be a chocolate, vanilla or fruit flavoured cupcake, can be decorated in any way and be of any shape or size. However, it must not be eligible for any of the other categories (e.g. can not be a savoury or use alcohol etc).
Martyn Leek, editor of British Baker - the organiser of NCW, said: "We have been blown away by the entries for this year's NCW championship. It really is shaping up to be the best year yet.
"The Classic Cupcake category gives those people who do not fit the other categories a chance to enter this prestigious competition - and gives entrants the opportunity of being crowned the NCW Champion!
"So don't delay and get your entries in now."
